I am forwarding this very important message about how a new section has been
slipped into a bill that would ban funding for any new trail building
activity or planning by the Department of Natural Resources.  Please call
the Governor and email and ask that she line item veto this section from the
Bill

ALERT NEEDED your Response for Off Highway Vehicle use.
CALL THE GOVERNOR AT 360-902-4111 WHEN YOU READ THIS.

This is a must response if we are going to have OHV use in this state. This
ESHB 2765 Section 3040 is a inserted bill into the state budget by a
conference of 6 or so people led by Karen Fraser to stop the DNR from
working on or creating any trails or roads or expend any money's on OHV use
projects through out the whole state. The NOVA fund funded to the tune of
1/3 of the NOVA funds or 1.2+- million for its 14+ parks for 08-09
and another $900000 for E and E funds which are education and enforcement. 

This will become law as the budget is setting on the Governor's Desk to be
signed by April 4 or 5. You must immediately pick up your phone and call her
policy staff Laurie Dolan and e-mail her at laurie.dolan at gov.wa.gov and call
her at 360-902-4111 which is the governor's office and tell her the governor
must line item veto section 3040 of ESHB 2765 now. Also go to the governor's
web site to the comments section and send her a note to the same end, line
item veto this section 3040 as it is an attack on the entire industry and
recreation for thousands of family's over the entire state 
and a Violation of the Equal Protection under the Law Clause
of the 5th Article of our US Bill of Rights. 

This is especially important that all the OHV Dealers tell all there
customers to do the same and send this e-mail to all who have a stake in
this for all of our family's, Post this alert on your walls and in all the
club members meetings.

Karen Fraser seems to want to bury our precious rights under her final and
last desperate hatred of us and our recreation. Email her at
fraser.karen at leg.wa.gov.

Call the Governor's Office directly and get her or her staff on the phone or
send her a letter or her web site www.governor.wa.gov. Her Policy director
is Tom Saelid 360-902-0562.

The ROC has worked with us and the DNR for Years and this last year was a
real break through year for us. All the DNR sites have good plans and the
Rangers are working with our clubs. Also email Doug Sutherland at the DNR
and tell him and Mark Mauren that they need to tell the Governor to veto
Fraser's section 3040 out of the budget in respect to the People of this
State and who they work for. 

Email Mark at mauren.mark at dnr.wa.gov as he is the new rec director for DNR.
