  2. we are coming from Vancouver Canada for the race week end, do we require ORV tags or due to the event being held on priv. land none are needed. All other information supplied on the site is fantastic.

  3. saw in the flyer need spark arrester or orv tags. coming from van like guy above, so will i be able to use my 2-stroke with stock piping?

  4. PARRAS – We owe it to the land owner to require a spark arrestor, it just makes good sense. This does not fit the definition of “closed course competition” and you will be on county property briefly.

ORV tags for our neighbors to the North cannot be expected but WA state riders should have them regardless.

Please get a S/A, you don’t want to miss this event!

    Thanks!

  5. Those that have driven from Vancouver, B.C. to attend the race in the past, can you tell me an approximate travelling time required to to get there. The second question is how cold does it get at night do to the kids sleeping in tents ice inthe nose or not to bad.

  6. Q #2

A – It can vary… some years the bikes will have a layer of frost on them in the morning. Keep the kids bundled up, a source of heat (other than a fire) is a good idea.

    I couldn’t tell you the travel time…

  8. I’ve got a 14yr old neighbor kid that wants to bring his non S/A equipped XR100….he’s gotta FMF powercore4, but I don’t have the extra dollars to buy him one. Can I make a stainless steel screen and put it inside the endcap?

  9. Powercore4 is supposed to be a spark arrestor… it’s a screen type, so if he’s missing the screen put one back in.

  11. What the conditions are like around Odessa? With this snow, I am concerned about driving all the way up from Astoria if it’s too deep.
Will the race go on come Hell or High (frozen) water?
My son and I are really looking forward to the weekend, but right now it’s looking a little sketchy…

  17. nick, sorry but no quads. The land manager does not allow them and to prevent confusion we ask that they are not used at all and should not be unloaded.

Gate fee is $5 per adult.

  21. Yes, please make sure your bikes are clean before you come out here. This is run on a production ranch and weeds are sometimes difficult and expensive to control.

It’s not the dirt we’re worried about, it’s weed seeds.

Same goes for the White Knuckle this fall.

Feel free to bring laptops, I’ve got the hotspot up and running already. The further north you park the better it’ll work.

For those that want to head out before Friday, there should be plenty of room to park around town. Today the RV park was less than half full. Just don’t forget to knock on the door of the home owner you’d like to part in front of. Most will let you park, they’d just like to know who’s out there.

    See ya’ll soon.

  23. we were very concerned with how the kids 9-12 was handles this year. First place went to a kid who was not even in the top three, a mistake was made and not addressed. We will not be a part of that again.

  36. Ask the second place finishers in the Team Event if they started on the first or second wave. They should have started on the second cannon. I don’t see those two names in any of the past programs. And they didn’t show up for their trophy??????

  37. What a great time. It was our first, but it won’t be our last!

I guess if I had one bitch it would be the kids that felt the need to ride right through our camp, across the rug to our RV? Not once, but several times till I put our bikes in the way.

My thanks to the stumpjumpers that helped my son and I out when he broke down out on the course.
