The Washington State Department of Natural Resources is going through a big planning process for their lands in Whatcom County. They are having an open house to talk about what is going on up there on November 29 from 6:00 to 8:30 pm. It would be a good idea for the off-road motorcycling community to get up there and attend the meeting. Now is the time to let them know we are interested in additional areas to ride!
Please come to the open house and voice your opinions. There is a lot of land up there controlled by the DNR.
We would like to suggest they try to have roads and/or trails setup so they connect communities together similar to the Paiute Trail system in Utah.
Let them know that single track trails are important to you!
Here is an excerpt from their webpage.

Join DNR staff and recreation planning committee members 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29 at the Bellingham Technical College Settlemyer Hall to check in on our planning process for the future of recreation from Baker to Bellingham.
Roughly at the half-way point, DNR staff will share information about what we’ve learned to better understand how and where recreation fits in this 86,000-acre planning landscape. You’ll also have the opportunity to speak with staff at listening stations where you can record your comments.
